Avid fisher, hunter, and hockey fan; Pastor Stephen Wilson is excited to serve the Newberry community. Stephen has served previously as a Student Pastor for several churches with 10+ years of ministry experience and a passion for ministering to the entire family unit. Stephen is from Summerville, SC where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and student ministry at Charleston Southern University. It is at Charleston Southern that he met his wonderful wife, Kimberly, who became his partner in ministry when they were married in May 2013. They currently have two children (Lilyana and Josiah) as well as a cat & dog and enjoy life with all its crazy adventures. Stephen is also currently working on his M.Div in Theology and Apologetics at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where his passion for apologetics and Scripture has only deepened. Stephen has a heart and vision for family ministry with a desire to see FBC grow in its outreach to parents, students, and children through intergenerational discipleship and fellowship as well as formation of ministries that equip & encourage the family unit together. Stephen desires to see FBC Newberry continue to be a place of community with a sense of purpose for all people.
